Preface
I believe many people are like me, only remembering the need for a cover image when finishing an article and preparing to publish it, and can only rush to do it temporarily. Moving the mouse pointer to Photoshop, I suddenly feel it’s not necessary. In the end, I just go to Unsplash to casually find an image or use Canva templates to simply fool around. Today I suddenly discovered a cover image generation project that is simply tailor-made for lazy dogs like me: CoverView
Where to Find
CoverView is a web project developed by React, less than 500kb in size, open-sourced on GitHub, currently having over three hundred Stars.
The author provides a web page hosted on Vercel.
Because the project is relatively simple, I took the opportunity to localize it. Currently, it exists in the form of a Fork, but I have already submitted an Issue to the author. In the future, I hope to directly merge it into the main project as a multi-language option.
For the following introduction, I will directly use screenshots of the localized version.
Options
CoverView currently only provides three font styles, with room for improvement in the future.
In terms of colors, it provides multiple interaction methods such as hexadecimal color codes, RGB values, color picker, and color disk, which is very complete.
 
In terms of styles, it provides four themes (title arrangement) and nineteen different background patterns.
Built-in icons cover the needs of most technical articles. At the bottom, there is also a custom icon option for uploading by yourself.
Summary
CoverView has very limited functions. It cannot make too many modifications to the generated article cover, and does not even provide basic content like dragging titles and modifying canvas size. But its advantage lies in being lightweight enough, which indeed fits the description of easy and fast in its project description. In the future, as long as more types of styles are added, randomly generating a combination each time can complete simple blog cover needs.
